This evening little Cooper jumped up on the ottoman . . for the first time. That’s been the spot where Oscar would sit and watch the action but Cooper couldn’t reach him if he sat right in the middle of the ottoman. I squealed because (1) my baby is growing up and (2) it surprised me how easily he did it. When I screamed, I guess he thought he was in trouble and jumped down but immediately jumped back up there. Now he’s getting into Vince’s chair and on the sofa, which means I’m back to living where I have no space safe from a chewing puppy.
Oscar was in the crate when it happened so he doesn’t know he has no spot that’s safe from Cooper either.
As soon as Cooper loses all those sharp pointed teeth, things will get easier for Oscar. 17 months from now, Cooper will be 2 and then it should be smooth sailing with two grown up dogs. They’re both so cute, it’s hard to get aggravated with them. But, I was able to spread things out on the ottoman if I needed to do things that needed space but now that Cooper can get up there, he has to go to the crate when I’m doing that.
Right now I have cross stitched pieces spread out and I’m choosing frames online. I’m on the last one and Cooper can be released from his puppy jail. 🙂
