This is my second finish in less than a week. I wish I could/would do that a whole lot more! A Changed World was finished on 12/13. This morning I finished First Corinthians by Little House Needleworks. I started it the first part of August. It’s small – the stitch count is 85 x 94. There’s a decent amount of stitches though. I love it.
I did change some of the colors. The ones I changed are:
- House – Sweetest Heart by Classic Colorworks. (I LOVE that color.)
- The flowers – Little House Brown by Classic Colorworks. That’s the called for color for the house.
- The door, the larger heart over the left side of the house and the heart below “Love” – Gold Leaf by The Gentle Art
- The yellow inside the flowers and inside the house (what you see through the windows) is Butternut Squash by The Gentle Art.
- The roof and the window trim are Bark by Weeks Dye Works.
That green behind the text, the words at the top, including “Love”, the vines and leaves, the basket the flowers is in and the chimney are all stitched in the called for colors.
The basting thread around the stitched area is where I run a basting stitch on a thread, then measure the length and width inside the basted thread and that’s the size frame I order. I will pull the piece so that the basting thread is just over the edge of the foamcore.
Now . . I’m off to order a frame for this and a couple more that need framing.
