Cooper has to gather up as many toys as he can find and keep them right near him. He watches Oscar and makes sure he doesn’t try to get one. Obviously, there are two chew toys, exactly alike, one for Oscar and one for Cooper but look who is guarding both of them!
Poor Oscar . . he wants one but he is afraid to try to get it. He’s close to twice Cooper’s size but I believe Oscar respects those sharp teeth. I never expected things to turn out this way. I figured Oscar would be the one we’d be having to watch for aggressive behavior.
They do play for hours and they play well together, even though Oscar will squeal when the sharp teeth hurt him. Once they’re ready to settle down and chew on toys, Oscar grabs one and sits as close to me as he can get with it, always keeping a watchful eye on Cooper. I don’t think Oscar grasps that Cooper cannot get on the sofa so he’s safe there, whether I’m sitting there or not.
There’s going to come a time, very soon, when Cooper will be able to get onto the sofa and then . . none of us will be safe. 🙂

Quincy used to do this to Bella and Rose! Did it from the time he was a baby! They are too cute!
