One step forward, one step backwards! Here’s where it was when I picked it up Wednesday night.
And here’s where I left off land night:
I got the top part of the left basket started and . . the right basket has been ripped out.
I started this project in August, 2021. It was February, 2021 that I started back cross stitching, after many, many years of not stitching and that’s when I began using linen so six months later, when I started A Changed World, I was still struggling with counting spaces. Now, I start all the “x” stitches where a vertical thread crosses over a horizontal thread. Most of the stitches on this piece are that way but that right basket was not. I started to just leave it but decided it was probably going to cause a problem either with the side border or the corner motif so I ripped it out and will go forward with the stitches in the correct place!
I will be glad to get through all the pieces I started when I was really just a beginner and making lots of counting mistakes.
