I knew this broom was going to take a bit of time but it’s taking forever. Give me a big red house any day over fiddly, count every stitch type stitching. I’m not fond of the stitching where you stitch 2, skip 1, stitch 3, skip 2, etc. and every row is different. With Oscar and Cooper, all my stitching is done these days with about 80% of my attention on what they’re doing and 20% of my attention on the stitching. With the broom, I would stitch a couple of stitches, mark them with the highlighter, stitch a couple of stitches, mark them with the highlighter. I was determined to finish the broom last night but as it was getting close to midnight, I knew I wasn’t going to finish it – not even close.
The moon is all outlined so I can fill it in pretty quickly. I have a bit more yellow stitching on the broom, then some darker to add, then stitch the rest of the letters and this should be finished . . today I hope!
