Even though the hospital cafeteria has the BEST banana cake, my favorite baked item is still cinnamon rolls. I came across Sally’s Baking Addiction’s Easy Cinnamon Rolls and since they only have one rise, they’re pretty quick to make. I figured I’d give them a try. They were so easy and as good as any cinnamon rolls. I did make a change or two but I’m sure they would be just great even without the changes I made. I used whatever yeast I had. It was instant but not the brand she recommended. It worked just fine.
Don’t ask me how she gets 10 – 12 rolls. I got 7. The photo above is after they had risen so I don’t think I would have cut them any smaller.
Years and years ago, someone told me to pour heavy cream around the cinnamon rolls after they’ve risen and just before putting them in the oven. I always do it and I think it’s a great thing to do. It makes the rolls a bit richer, and a bit more dense.
Very good cinnamon roll recipe and probably the one I will use, at least for a while . . I love trying new recipes but it’s hard to walk away from one that is quick, easy and delicious.

I’ve never heard of pouring heavy cream on before baking. I like the crispy outside best so it might make that edge soft.

Yes, I wouldn’t do it if you like crispy edges.

I’ll have to try these too! I’ve only recently heard of putting heavy cream around them before baking. I think I saw something on youtube about making canned Walmart cinnamon rolls taste extraordinary and it had to do with adding the heavy cream. Haven’t tried that either but had it in the back of my mind to try for something super quick. But, I’m sure homemade is better yet! Thanks for sharing your recipes!! Meant to add that to the biscuit one too but was so eager to get to this post I hit send….lol
