Yesterday was the end of one five day stitching cycle and a new one begins today. I still love these five day cycles. I’m getting more stitching time now that the garden is on it’s last leg.
These past five days I’ve worked on Winter Rose Manor by Brenda Gervais. I love this so much and I want to finish it! Here’s what it looked like when I picked it up on 9/21.
Here’s what it looks like now after five days of stitching.
I feel like I got a lot done! Here’s what I stitched:
- The stem and flowers the male bird is sitting on.
- Most of the male bird.
- The house is outlined (except a little section on the right where I ran out of floss on my needle.
- Two windows and finished a third.
- Outlined the roof.
- Stitched the basket on the roof.
This is the cover of the chart. When I work on this next time, I hope to get the flowers in the basket and stitch the basket over the fence. I doubt I can get it finished before the end of the year but hopefully not long after the first of the year.
I’m not sure what I’m going to work on for the next five days. First Corinthians is on my list to start back on today but I’m not sure that’s what I’m going to choose to stitch on . . we’ll see when I get downstairs to start stitching.

Love the peachy pink choice for the house. It pops but subtly.

I think once I put white batting behind it to frame it, it will show up a little better. It’s weird how many pinks/peaches I tried and they were either too dark or too light. The one I’m using is a bit lighter than I wanted but I had to stop ordering floss and make a decision. That was one time when it would have been very nice to have a shop nearby so I could go look at the actual floss with my fabric.

I would love to see a picture of your pieces hanging on the wall.

So would I. 🙂 Not much is on the walls. I need to do better.

This is such a pretty chart and your stitching looks great. Now I want to work on that one too. Soooo many charts I like and so little time!

You are so right! Every time I find a chart I want to buy, I remind myself of how many I have here that I will never get around to stitching.
