Oscar is certainly growing up. A couple of times yesterday I was sitting downstairs stitching and had to run upstairs to check on dinner or knead bread and I left Oscar downstairs, not in the crate. He sat right where he was and didn’t destroy anything. I try to be careful to make sure there’s nothing in easy reach that he might want to destroy but Oscar can find things to destroy. I won’t make a habit of leaving him alone without putting him in the crate but it was a sign that he’s growing up.
He’s so cute. I could sit and hold him for hours but he prefers to sit next to me instead of on my lap . . even though I’m constantly petting him and smooching on him.
See the white hair where it starts down his back? That part of his hair is longer and stiff. I think one of his siblings was long haired but I don’t believe there were any wire haired babies.
He may still be a bit wild and crazy but he is so loved!

He is one lucky dog!

And we’re lucky to have such a fun (but determined) little guy.

He always looks like he just had a bath. I love his coloring. He is the size of a baby so no wonder you want to hold him. Rocky gets bigger and bigger. It’s a good thing he is a sweet dog with the heart of a chicken or I would be terrified of him! So enjoy your Oscar posts!

Yes, a dog the size of Rocky with Oscar’s temperament and personality would not be good for anyone.
