Oscar of the Slip Cover

I keep a slip cover on most all the furniture we use. I think it was back when Speck was a pup that I put a slip cover on the sofa. After some time, I took it off and washed it and was shocked at how dirty it had gotten so that’s when I started putting slip covers on the sofas and recliners.

Yesterday I took the sofa off the love seat to wash it. I much prefer the ones that you just toss over the furniture and don’t have to tuck in but with Oscar, those aren’t feasible. He will grab a corner and pull it completely off the sofa. But, while the other slip cover was being washed, I used one of the throw type slip covers.

Oscar thinks it makes a cozy little sleeping spot when he gets under it. I think this isn’t doing much to protect the love seat but it makes Oscar happy so he can keep doing it. A sleeping Oscar means peace and quiet for a few minutes. The other slip cover is in the dryer now. Maybe I’ll put that slip cover on, and keep the throw on top of it since he likes getting under it. There’s a soft blanket he likes and that’s in the dryer with the slip cover. I’m surprised he hasn’t chewed up that blanket.
