I really can’t stop thinking about the Green Tomato Curry. Yesterday evening I went out and picked the green tomatoes off one row of the slicer tomatoes. I’m hoping to have more paste tomatoes than slicers but I’m not sure it’s going to work out that way.
I picked everything off the plants so there are a couple of red ones in there. I’m not even sure how many pounds of green tomatoes I need. I guess once I’ve picked them all, I’ll weigh them then calculate how much of everything else I need.
There was this one huge tomato and I almost didn’t pick it but then I figured that darned ground hog would get it if I leave it. I’m done with tomatoes so I want to pick everything, pull them out of their grow bags, get fresh dirt and plant kale, cabbage and beets in the bags the tomatoes were in.
I’ve checked Amazon’s tracking and of the three spices I ordered for the Green Tomato Curry, it looks like one of them may arrive today. Not sure if I’ll plan to cook this on Tuesday or Wednesday. Amazon’s deliveries are sometimes late in the afternoon and I don’t really want to start a canning project late in the afternoon so I think I’ll just plan on sticking the tomatoes in the fridge and not starting the project til I have everything here.

I’d have to mix up a batch of ChowChow.
