I don’t keep up with how much I put up but it isn’t every day of the month so I’m having to get creative to have something every day.
I didn’t even count canning the turkey this week because I had already done something for that day. But, this month, I am making an effort to do something every day and report it.
Yesterday evening I cut okra and knew I didn’t have enough to fill four trays in the freeze dryer but don’t have okra on the menu the rest of this week so I cut enough to fill two trays – one trays of cut okra and one tray of small whole pods. I cut all kinds of peppers, halved them and left the seeds in. I’ll grind those for a pepper powder and, with all the seeds, it will be hot. There were jalapeno, marconi, serrano and banana peppers. No photo but I did fill all four trays of the freeze dryer. My guess is that will be done either Thursday evening or Friday morning.
