Back on July 4 I posted about making Strawberry Butter. The recipe link is in that post. That day I made 3 pints, 13 half pints and 1 quarter pint. We both love it! A couple of mornings ago we finished a half pint, which means we’ve eaten the quarter pint and one half pint. Vince asked me this morning if I was going to give some of it to Chad. I told him yes. I always give them one jar of things and if they love it and ask for more, I give them more. I’m thinking Addie will love this . . they may all love it but for sure she will.
Vince asked me if it was hard to make . . no, nothing is too hard for me to make if he wants more. He was going to town so he asked how many packages of strawberries he should get. I told him making a triple batch is probably about all I can handle in a day so I needed 9 pounds of strawberries but if he wanted to get 10 pounds, that would give me some extras in case there were bad ones. He got 10 pounds for the butter and two pounds for us to enjoy over the next couple of days.
I rinsed the strawberries, Vince hulled 10 packages of strawberries. After I cut out a few bad spots, and we both ate a few of the berries, I ended up with 9 pounds, 5 ounces so I tripled all the ingredients and ended up with 21 half pints.
I’m so glad to have plenty of this on the shelf! Now that I know how easy this stuff is and how quick it is to make, I’ll buy strawberries from the local strawberry farmers and this will probably taste even better!

Jealous. =) Love stuff like that, but it’s off the list. Yes, you’re right. Almost everything is.

That’s tough but we do what we have to do.
