A rainy day means no working outside – no weeding, no watering and no harvesting elderberries, which I had planned to do. I’m thankful for a day off from the garden. I’m most thankful for the cloudy, cool day . . so far. Vince says it’s supposed to rain til about 9 a.m. He also said the high is going to be in the 80’s but before I got too excited, I checked the forecast and it says 97 so by this afternoon, it will be a HOT, humid and steamy out there. I will be staying in.
This morning I’ve downloaded and set up several pdf charts in Pattern Keeper. I’m not . . maybe not . . going to start any of them soon but at least they’re ready when I’m ready to start stitching.
I’ll be working on First Corinthians after a bit of time in the kitchen. I have to finish canning the pizza sauce I started yesterday. I had that going and a batch of ketchup. It was easier to let them both cook down, then store them in the fridge overnight, check the consistency today and if it’s right, re-heat them and get them canned. I’ll probably finish the ketchup today since it’s the larger batch and since we have leftovers for dinner, then finish the pizza sauce tomorrow since there’s not so much of it and I have a meal to cook tomorrow.
At least for now, I plan to mostly sit and cross stitch! We’ll see how that goes.
