I am loving working on this piece. I love the colors and can’t wait to get to the words.
You remember I changed the color of the house from a purple-ish brown to a more purple-ish pink. The window trim and the roof were supposed to be a medium brown but I felt like they weren’t the best trim color for my purple house and was planning to maybe go with a gray.
Last night after I finished outlining the house, I went to the floss stash and found a gray with a little brown in it but then I found this darker greenish brown. It’s a Weeks Dyeworks color – Bark. I think it’s perfect. It goes with the other green, which is Pea Pod and it will still work nicely with the tan/gold for the flower centers, the basket and the chimneys.
I have today and tomorrow to work on this before it’s time to move on to project #2 for August. I think I will get the frames for the other two windows stitched, finish the 13:13 in the verse below the house, stitch the outline of the background for the verse and if there’s time, stitch the basket for the flowers and the stems for the flowers in the basket.
This one is on the schedule to be worked on for five days again starting September 21.
