I want so badly to finish A Changed World but I’ve been working on it for two weeks and I am ready to move on to the next project. Yesterday I was watching Contented Needleworker Kim’s video #61 and she said her limit for working on a project is about three days. I realized I have worked on A Changed World way too long and getting back to my five day rotation is going to be nice.
Remember I mentioned that I had a shop do the conversion from 100.3 floss to Soie d’Alger? This is the little sheet that came with the floss that tells me which colors to use in place of the 100.3.
For over two years I’ve been keeping that little piece of paper and always thinking . . I should take a picture and put it on the blog; I should make copies and keep them somewhere safe. But, I didn’t. Then, yesterday, Oscar grabbed it and that little guy can shred a piece of paper faster than you could believe possible. I was saying “Drop it!” and was ripping. I got it before he did too much damage. I’ve now made copies – one is in the nightstand drawer, an extra copy is in the project bag, a copy is in my stitching notebook and a picture is on the blog. Nothing is safe when Oscar is around.
A Changed World is put away for now.
Today I will start First Corinthians. A friend and I have starts on the 1st and 15th of each month scheduled through November so she will be starting this one today too.
The stitch count is 85 x 94. While it should be fairly quick to stitch, I doubt I get it finished in five days and I’m sticking to the five day rotation. Of course, I’ll share my progress over the next five days.

So, do these people who say they only work on a project for 3 days do anything else but cross stitch?? Such as canning, playing with an active dog, gardening, etc.? Somedays I never pick up my knitting! Sometimes I say I am going to knit all day except for feeding us–it never happens!

She didn’t say and I don’t think she has a garden or cans and I don’t think she has a dog but surely she cleans house, washes clothes, cooks. I have no idea.
I’m like you. At the end of every day, I look at what’s on the list for the next day. Usually nothing so I think I can get up, water the garden, play with the dog til he’s tired, then I can sit and knit or stitch all day. Nope . . there’s always something to do and it’s usually 5 or 6 p.m. before I sit down to start stitching or knitting.

I had to look at this because of the name. I don’t think my minimal XS skills are up to this, but I do like it a lot. I look forward to seeing how far you get. The conversion chart copied is a job well done!
