This morning I particpated in a zoom meet up and decided I’d do more stitching on A Changed World. I didn’t need to look at the chart for the stitching because I was just filling in the black background. I did pick up the chart and look at the front to see if there was anything else I could easily stitch without having to watch the chart and count but decided the background of the letters was my best bet. I noticed the called for color was Noir so I grabbed a new Noir skein, threaded four needles and started stitching.
I made about 10 stitches and thought . . this skein is way more black than what I had been using. I showed it to my Zoom buddies and they agreed that the new stitches were obviously darker. I said “hang on, let me go get the project bag and see if the old skein was lighter”. When I opened the project bag, I remembered that Denise (I think it was Denise) had decided to stitch the background more like a chalkboard color.
As soon as I picked up my working copy, I had a note on the bottom of the sheet. If only I had bothered to look . . but I so rarely change any colors . . next time I will look at my notes if I’ve had a project sitting around for a few days since I worked on it. In m defense, it’s probably been over a month since I worked on this one.
The few darker stitches were moved and now I’m excited to make some progress on it again.
