I’m not going to say I didn’t sleep good while in Louisiana but I didn’t sleep enough. Every night except one, we went to bed around midnight and every morning I was awake by 5 a.m. The light would start coming through the window as soon as it began getting daylight and that was the end of my sleeping. Wednesday night we were in a hotel with thick drapes, a great air conditioner and I had planned to sleep as late as I could. Nicole set her phone alarm for 7:30. I was awake at 5:15. I didn’t want to get out of bed and wake them but then I saw that Nicole was awake so I got up, got dressed and read til time to wake Addie to get ready to get back on the road.
I was so happy to get to sleep in my own bed last night. I went to bed a little after 11 p.m., read for a while and went to sleep. Then . . little Oscar woke me at 4:28 a.m.
I waited, hoping he would go back to sleep but he didn’t. I think he wanted to make sure I was really back home. I got up, took him out, tried to go back to sleep but he was ready to play so, instead of letting him wake Vince, I got up with him.
Hopefully Oscar is convinced I’m home and not leaving again any time soon and he’ll sleep at least til 6 in the morning!

We just returned from vacation today, too, and while I’m not exhausted, I AM more tired than normal, and will attempt to sleep in tomorrow at least until 8:00. Time will tell.

Is that an app that logs your sleep pattern? How does it work? Looks intriguing!

It’s part of my Fitbit watch app.

Gosh, I hope you get a good night soon. I would be a zombie! I take afternoon naps, sometimes morning ones, because I can just drop when I’m too tired to stay awake. It cuts into the doing time, but it probably makes the doing time more possible.

Yes! Sometimes I sit for an hour wishing I could take a nap but telling myself I have too much to do. I could have taken a 30 minute nap and been back in action.
