My uncle’s stepdaughter lives very near him and she, just like her mother was, is a wonderful person. She takes such good care of my uncle.
The last time I was there, she was telling me about an angel she had started years ago and never finished. She said she thinks the reason she had put it away was because she had made a mistake and just put it aside til she had time to deal with it and . . that hasn’t happened and she’s lost interest.
She brought it over to me and told me if I want it and was interested in finishing it, she would send it home with me. Addie has always loved this lady and Addie loved her mom so I’m going to finish it, write a little note to go with it that Sherry started it and I finished it, frame it and give it to Addie.
She included all the floss. I think the mistake that sent this piece to time out is on the right side in the white area of her dress and it will not be hard to pick that out and fix it. This will take me a while because (1) there are a lot of color changes and (2) I’ll have to use two strands of floss and I do not like doing that! But, I will get it done.
The chart is Angel of Light by Lavender & Lace and it is still available.

This was the last cross stitch pattern I did, probably like 20 years ago. Still not framed yet but in my pile to get framed!! Mine has lots of mistakes but I just roll with it and in the whole scheme of things the mistakes in something that large don’t show!!

I stitched that one too many moons ago as a gift. Definitely a lot of stitching but so pretty.

I had no idea you had stitched that one. It will be a slow process for me.

I started this piece many years ago. Life got busy and I put it away. A couple of times I added it to the donation pile only to pull it out again. I still have it. Someday I hope to finish it. I think all those angel pieces by Lavender and Lace are just gorgeous.
