Yesterday we took a little road trip and I brought along my knitting project to work on while in the car.
I love this yarn and this pattern but when I have crafty time, cross stitching seems to win. It was nice to get to spend a bit of time on this project. The pattern is Panic by Casapinka. The yarn is Madelinetosh DK Twist. I started this project on March 19, 2022.
In the heat of summer, it’s hard to believe that by October, we could be needing sweaters, especially in the evenings. That’s just 3-1/2 months away. Yes! I’m looking forward to fall and winter. Summer is my least favorite time of the year. Every year I say I’m not going to have a big garden and I always do. The other day Vince asked how many tomato plants I have and I was able to honestly say “I don’t know!” I didn’t know but I’ve now counted and I’m hoping he doesn’t ask again because there are . . 47 tomato plants. I know not to count my chickens before they hatch but they are mostly all loaded with tomatoes. It could be a good year. But .. this post isn’t about tomatoes or the garden except that the garden does take so much of my time these days.
I have a trip coming up in a couple of weeks. I would LOVE to have this sweater knitted to the point of separating off the sleeves. Then, in the car, on the first leg of the trip it would be mindless knitting all the way down to the where I would start the ribbing, then knitting the ribbing and the body of the sweater would be done. Then on the way home, I could knit the sleeves. I think I’ll do them two at a time and not have to worry about getting the decreases in the same spot and making them the same length.
So . . the big question is . . how much knitting can I get done in a couple of weeks??

I’m knitting a sweater right now too, with a fancy yoke and then stockinette like you describe. I’m really enjoying it but only do a few rows each day because it hurts my hands if I knit too much. Does knitting bother your hands?

I’m so sorry knitting is hurting your hands. So far, knitting hasn’t caused pain but I’m so afraid it will. I try not to knit very long without putting the piece down and and doing some hand exercise.

I just finished the body of my first cardigan last night, now on to the sleeves. And the button bands which I’ve never done!!

Yay for knitting. I just picked up a mostly-finished shawl and started another. I’m just entranced by the beautiful colors of yarn and just have to work with some. Happily our little yarn shop moved to a bigger building and is just bursting with beautiful new yarn and patterns.

I wish we had a yarn shop and a cross stitch shop nearby. Lucky you!

I signed up for Olive Knits 4 Day KAL. We’re knitting her Lemon Spritz sweater. I don’t expect to get it done in 4 days – that would be a miracle beyond all miracles!

I’m tempted to join you. Cute pattern.
