A reader had asked to see the storage ottoman. These are about 15 x 15 x 15 and they have lids (1) to keep Oscar out and (2) so I can prop my feet on them.
If I had any pride at all, I would have straightened the quilt on the loveseat, picked up the blanket Oscar likes, removed the pillow that goes with the sofa and picked up the spray bottle that I use to keep Oscar in line. And . . the dog bone . . they are everywhere!
These little ottomans are so inexpensive. I have quite a few of them for storing various things.
Here’s a blog post I did a while back that shows more of them, and even a larger one. I have one larger one that has 36 count linen, another larger one that has 40 count linen, then a smaller one that has XJu linens.

I love that you don’t pick up and “stage” your photos! Living real life and sharing it that way is best. When I post pics on FB of my sewing room I know most probably cringe, but it’s real life and I’m always working on something!

I never even notice the clutter unless it’s something gross like dirty dishes that look like they’ve been there for a while or dirty clothes in the floor. Just normal clutter . . it’s everywhere at our house and it doesn’t bother me at all, not at my house or your house. 🙂

No. The ottomans are kinda low for our windows. Boots pretty much stays downstairs. He’ll go upstairs and look around but we stay downstairs so that’s pretty much where he stays. About the only time I’m upstairs is when I’m cooking.
In the sewing room, because one side of it is part basement, it has two windows with about 14″ deep windowsills. I put some bird feeders outside those windows and he loves sitting and sleeping in those deep windowsills. On the other side of the sewing room, are regular windows and can sit on sewing machine cabinets and look out those windows. When he’s in the living room, he doesn’t turn his back on Oscar so there’s not much looking out the window when Oscar is around.

Keepin’ it real – I love that!! So many people stage their photos but don’t say so. I think that contributes to making people feel less than. Love the storage ottoman, too. Do you know where you got it? I stitch in a recliner and I like to put my feet up…but I don’t like having to put the foot rest up and down every time I need to get out of the chair. Thanks!

Most I ordered from Amazon. Some I bought at Walmart, some at Tuesday Morning. Any time I found the approximate 15 x 15 size, I would get them.
