You know I don’t always call him “sweet” but he can be and while the sweet times are the ones I choose to remember, it’s hard to forget what a little rascal he is.
When I got ready to stitch the two dogs under the blue house, I couldn’t find the brown floss. Now, this is silk and I had put it all on floss tags so I went through the ring and this brown wasn’t there. I was thinking “oh, no . . I’m going to have to order another skein and wait for it to come in!” Then I remembered that several months ago when I was working on this, Oscar got hold of it. I just stuck it in the project bag because, as you can see, the paper tag is gone!
I was going to put some white spots on that little dog (even though Oscar is white with brown spots) and then I said to myself “No! You’re too mean. You destroyed the brown floss so you don’t deserve to be on this sampler!” but I may go back and stitch some white over the brown. He does deserve to be on all my samplers.
But . . here’s the sweet little Oscar.
He’s sleeping as close as he can get to me while I stitch! But, let me get up and he makes a beeline to see if I left any floss behind. When I have to take Rita out or go to the bathroom myself, Oscar has to go in the crate because he will find any little piece of anything I’ve left out – floss, chart, pencil, pad – and he will shred it. He’s always on the lookout for something to destroy.

You really have a rascally puppy there!
BTW, I see a line of storms coming your way, no tornado warnings at the moment. Hope all goes well at your home. I really don’t like spring storms that come from the northwest -> southeast since they usually have very large hail in them. Well, at least in OK the spring/summer NW storms seem to be more severe.

Our weather radio alarm went off earlier for the first time this year I think. We’re watching it but thanks for the heads up. It looks like it’s going to be a thunderstorm, maybe a bit severe but it’s not looking like we shouldn’t have tornado warnings. It looks like your area has had more than their share of hail and storms this spring.

Yep – we had hail, though the size in my area was more pea size than baseball size. I’m still getting a bunch of cold calls re roof inspections. Oh well…
The line of storms has entered OK by Bartlesville and there is some back building storms in central Kansas. We might get something this evening, but the rain chances are better for the rest of the week.

How can you be mad at that sweet little sleeping face?
judy.blog@gmail.com says
It’s the awake face that causes the problems! You can watch him and see that he is always on the watch for a piece of paper or a Kleenex or paper towel – anything he can shred. Paper includes cross stitch charts! I always make working copies of the charts and there isn’t a chart I’ve worked on in the past year that has corners left on it.

I have Boston Terrier (terror). Anything laying around is fair game. She shreds everything.

How old is she? Please tell me 6 months! 🙂
