Yesterday I thought I started a blog post about our crazy day but maybe I just told my friend about it or maybe I did write a post . . I don’t know.
In the May Madness stitching challenge, yesterday we had to stitch 400 stitches. I got up, went and worked outside, came in after a bit. Vince had told the Mennonite farmer we’d come get eggs on Wednesday so I hollered upstairs and said “If we’re going to get eggs, can we go soon?” I didn’t want to start stitching and have to stop so we went . . and made two more stops. One was at a plant nursery we like and I knew that was going to be a long stop. I told Vince I would just sit in the car while he went and got the plants he needed but no, he wanted me to come too. I knew exactly what would happen . . and it did . . we came home with a ton of plants.
Got home, unloaded the car, had to go into town and get the new Rx, look at plants, buy more plants. By the time we got home, it was time to cook dinner.
Of all the days, when I needed to get 400 stitches made, we go to town twice!
I got dinner cooked, hurried downstairs and started stitching. Poor Oscar had been in the crate so long and he wanted to play so I went out and played with him, came back and ended up getting 645 stitches done!
It was easy because it was mostly all one color. I’m stitching on the house now.
I can only have 600 stitches in my bank so I lost 45 stitches, which is kinda funny because when I picked it up just now, I realized I stitched up two rows too far on the left side of the door. The windows are supposed to start after 12 rows and I stitched 14 so I have to rip out two rows, which is 40 stitches.
Today I only have to stitch 200 stitches. I think I’m going to go ahead and stitch the two windows and the tree on the left side of the house. That should be pretty close to 200 stitches. If I get that done early in the day, I may pull floss for one Teresa Kogut’s May Patreon charts.

Always love seeing what plants you buy and garden updates. Are all of your seedlings planted now?

Not planted yet. We had frost Tuesday night (which should have been the end of the cold!) and could have hail today. There’s a slim chance I’m going to get a good tomato harvest this year because of getting them planted so late. Some of the tomato and pepper plants already have blooms and small tomatoes/peppers.

Wow 600 stitches! Are you using the sewing method or the lower ct making the difference?

No, I’m using the two handed method. I see some people doing over 1,000 in a day! Good grief. They must not have a wild dachshund or a garden or a hungry husband! 🙂
