Here’s where I left off Tuesday night:
Here’s where I left off last night:
I did finish the flower on the left (maybe). I did get the bottom row of the three stitch row done. I did stitch part of the middle row. I had hoped to get that row finished too but didn’t get that one finished. I did get started on the middle flower, but not much!
Question: The big flower – see the center where it’s kinda checkerboard or more of a lattice looking area? The chart calls for filling in those skipped stitches with the same yellowish color I used in the tips of the small flowers beneath the bigger flower. I like the center as it is now without the skipped stitches being stitched. I think that gives it a lacy like texture. What do y’all think?

Looks great as is. If baskets or other things have those checkerboard sort of things I generally don’t fill it in because I like the lacy look.

This is the first time I’ve looked at something like that and thought it didn’t need the extra stitching. Maybe I’ve not stitched anything like that or maybe I was new enough that I never thought of changing the designer’s instructions. Thanks for telling me you do it too.

I like the way it looks now. When more of the design is stitched, If you think that you need more of that light yellow color, then you can always fill it in.

That’s true! I’d rather go back and add than go back and rip out. Thanks.

I like the lacy look without the additional stitches. I think leaving them out would be just fine. It is your project, do it the way you like!

I like it unstitched. This one is already looking so pretty!

I like it with the lacy look. As was mentioned, you can always fill in later.

I’ve been thinking of you with all the crazy weather lately.

I like it the way it is now, without filling in. You could always fill in later, if you decide you want to, as you get further along in the stitching.

Exactly what I was thinking.

It looks good without the stitching. And, you’ll get finished sooner. Lol

Yay for sooner! Thanks for your opinion.

I like the grid look – I think it adds a bit different dimension, that to me, is pleasing.

I like the lacy look, also.

leave it as is. I love the lattic work, makes the flower unique.

Thanks! I think that’s what I’ll do.
