There was not much stitching! There was a good bit of gardening, more cooking than I planned but it was all what I wanted to do – too many hobbies.
Here’s where I started this weekend.
What you can’t see, or can barely see, is that below the L and M, there is some white-ish smoke. There will be a house and that’s what’s coming out of the chimney. Obviously it isn’t showing up so I ripped it out. That takes a lot of time. I found a white I thought would work and stitched the same amount and, while it showed up a little better, it didn’t show up well enough so I ripped that out. I’m thinking the smoke is just going to have to be a light gray.
You know how I always think I’ll get a lot more done than I actually get done .. I fully expected to finish the deer and did not.
That deer is big. I think I stitched six rows on him. Hopefully next weekend I can get him finished. There’s white on the deer’s chest and I guess if I want to use white, I’ll have to outline it but that’s something to think about next weekend. For the Love of Nature is put away and Rejoice Evermore is back in the stitching stand.

– Maybe a pearly white for the smoke?

White Lightning by Weeks would make good smoke. It’s a grey and white blend.
