I’ve mentioned before that I’m in Teresa Kogut’s Patreon group. For her top level, it’s $204 per year if you pay for the year at once. For that, you get three charts each month – the one for Tier 4, then the ones Tiers 3 and 2 get. She also does a mystery SAL at least once a year. Last year’s was a super nice chart. It was Strawberry Manor and I’ve seen the ones that were finished and it’s so pretty. Of course, I didn’t keep up!
I figure I’m getting at least 37 charts per year. Some are smaller. Some are larger. I figure on average, the charts are going to be about $10 to $12 per chart, so the value is about $370 to $444 per year. If I stitch even half the charts, it was a good deal for me. There’s also a discount in Teresa’s Etsy shop.
So, if you’re a Teresa Kogut fan, and you love her charts, you may want to consider her patreon group. To me, there’s some value in getting charts no one else has seen yet too.
As I mentioned yesterday or day before, stitching the 46 count linen on my current bigger project isn’t easy or fun but it is getting easier. I decided to put the 46 count aside for a while and work on a smaller project. One of the April Teresa Kogut Patreon projects is Cottage Garden, which has a stitch count of 119 x 84 so it should be fairly quick to stitch.
I’m using a leftover piece of linen and I’m not sure if it’s 40 count or 36 count. The piece is large enough to accommodate this piece even if the linen is 36 count. I know I could count the threads but it doesn’t matter.
If it’s 40 count, the stitched area will be 6″ x 4-1/4″. If it’s 36 count, the stitched area will be 6-5/8″ x 4-5/8″. Wait . . I can measure it because I’ve stitched across the top border since I’ve stitched across the width. Well, heck . . mine measures 6-1/4″ so that makes me think it’s a 36 count piece that shrunk a bit during they dyeing process. It doesn’t matter.
I’m enjoying stitching this one. I’m using the called for floss but I think there’s one I’m going to change. Fool’s Gold is variegated and the light parts blend into my fabric so I may go with a more solid gold.
