The other day when I made the project envelopes and I was talking about matching projects to bags . . like I would put Winter Rose Manor in the fabric I used to make the Glistening Rose Garden quilt.
Yesterday I was in the sewing room getting ready to sew fabric strips to the linen for an upcoming project that I wanted to get on the frames. It dawned on me that I can sew the same fabric I used to make the envelope and end up with a “set” of sorts.
It may be a little wasteful but I can cut 6 or 8 strips that are 2 – 3″ wide and use those on future projects and then if I run out of the fabric strips but am still using the envelope, I can save the scraps and just tie a little piece onto the end bars of the frame so I’ll know which bag corresponds with which project.
I was pretty impressed with myself for thinking of that. I haven’t been able to make any project envelopes because I can only go sew if Vince is downstairs with Oscar or I have to put Oscar in the crate and I don’t do that very often. With football not going on, Vince isn’t downstairs watching TV so much. He does watch F1 racing but doesn’t seem so interested in that lately . . or maybe they aren’t racing. I have no idea.
