In 2012, I wrote this blog post about a funny picture that looked like a deer was jumping over Addie’s head and nibbling on Chad’s ear.
Nicole had posted it on Facebook and I thought it was funny because Chad loves deer hunting so much but then someone said that it looked like the deer was jumping over Addie’s head. We laughed about the picture but then I thought . . it’s a cross stitch picture and I should be able to find it on ebay if nowhere else. Don’t ask me how I found it because all I knew about it is what you see there but in January, 2013, I found Wild Animals of North America.
It had been probably 30 years since I had cross stitched but I said . . I can do it! So, I bought it and stuck it in the folder with the very few cross stitch charts I had from 30 years before. And, that’s where it sat. Who knew I’d start cross stitching again?
I came across that folder a few days ago and I’m going to stitch it, frame it and give it to them. I don’t even know if Nicole wants it in her house but I want to stitch it so I’ll stitch it and she can do whatever she wants with it.
I thought it was huge from looking at that picture but it looks like stitched on 14 count Aida, it would only be about 9-1/8″ x 9-1/2″. That was one of the reasons I never tried to stitch it . . I didn’t want something 14″ x 20″ that they felt like they had to keep. Stitched on 40 count linen, it will only be 6-3/8″ x 6-5/8″.
Here’s what it looks like on the back of the booklet.
I’ve ordered the floss I didn’t have and some day soon, I hope to start this project.
