You may remember that my goal was to get two of the Prairie Schooler 12 Days of Christmas pieces stitched each quarter. I got one done in January.
Yesterday I decided to start the second one. I don’t want to get behind on these.
Since I can no longer stitch in hand because of hand pain, and since I don’t really have a Rolaframe that’s small enough for these little pieces and it probably wouldn’t be worth the time to load it in a frame, I grabbed a hoop and was using it in the Lowery stand.
It takes a while to get used to something different but it wasn’t feeling great. I remembered that I had a small Q-snap frame though I think it’s a Hobby Lobby brand and not a real Q-snap. I got it out and it works great with the Lowery frame.
This little frame is 8 x 8 and I loved using it. I ordered an 11 x 11 and am wondering if I might like using that for those big ones, like And A Forest Grew, since the longer Rolaframe frames are hard for me to use with the Lowery stand and I don’t want to go to the big Rolaframe floor stand.
We’ll see. I was surprised how much I enjoyed stitching in the Q-snap type frame.

Hi Judy,
I’m using the q snap frame on my And a forest grew…….i use mini clips in the corners to lift the excess fabric out of reach of my needle!! Happy stitching everyone.

What size are you using? Do you think the 11″ will work or should I order a bigger one?
