It’s Friday! I know that because the milk man was here at 5:20 this morning. Poor guy. I think he should sleep a bit later but I suppose his cows are happy with his schedule.
I know this is the same photo I posted last week of Barb’s progress but I didn’t get any new photos so I’m sharing this one again, maybe only to motivate myself!
Maralou sent me My Jesus I Love Thee by Heartstring Samplery.
My grandma played the piano at their little country church and I can see her sitting on that little bench, playing these old hymns. When I opened Maralou’s picture, it brought back so many wonderful memories. I am going to get this chart and stitch it. At market in March, Heartstring Samplery has a collection of these old hymn pieces but this one isn’t part of the collection.

I am on an unexpected road trip this week so haven’t made much further progress. When I get home its time to switch to a WIP and I think it will be Floral Motif sampler this month.

..I got an email from 123Stitch which included some new Teresa Kogut designs that are coming out soon. The site allows you to be notified when the stuff comes into their shop. About five patterns made it on my wish list.
I am currently working on “This is the Day” by Plum Street Samplers – I like it, though I will be making a few changes to it, basically not doing the goats and subbing in more flowers, butterflies, and bees. This pattern has a house with bricks and I recommend stitching the “grout” first. It makes it easier to do the variety of brick colors.

Love those old hymns – they bring back so many memories and emotions for me. That stitchery will be so beautiful!
