What would someone do when there’s just no time for stitching, so many projects are started and this someone really wants to finish some of those projects? If that someone was me . . she would start a new project! 🙂
This is In HIS Image by Teresa Kogut and it was/is an exclusive through Craft Gallery. I am not sure if this chart is always going to be an exclusive for Craft Gallery or if some day it will be available to purchase at other shops. I think it was available for sale in January, 2022 and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be one Teresa’s new releases at Market so I’m guessing this is going to stay an exclusive for Craft Gallery, at least for a while longer . . maybe forever. If you want the chart, please call Craft Gallery and see if it still available.
A friend asked if I had this chart and I did. I had it already kitted. She asked if I wanted to stitch it with her. Yes, I did. I had another friend who had written me a while back and she was wanting to get this chart so I wrote her and asked if she wanted to stitch with us. She had still not purchased the chart so it’s just my friend, Pat, and I stitching this. If anyone else has this and wants to jump in, you’re welcome to do it.
Pat and I decided to start stitching on Valentine’s Day. I only got a few stitches done on Valentine’s Day but last night I had a bit more time.
As always, I will stitch the outline of the border first. Today I should get the rest of the top border stitched and at least some of the side borders stitched.
I will probably change some of the white (smoke and house at top right) to colors that will show up a bit better on my fabric.
Here’s a funny story. I was chatting with Pat about fabric and she mentioned linen that had been dyed by Victorian Motto. I was saying that I didn’t have any Victorian Motto linen. Then I got the fabric out of the project bag, pulled the thread to cut it to the needed size. I was impressed because the linen I received was cut perfectly straight. That rarely happens. The fabric felt really good so I looked for the label and all it said was “40 count Champagne”. I looked in my email for “champagne” and didn’t find anything. I went to Etsy and checked my online purchases for Champagne and there it was . . Victorian Motto fabric! It was fabric I had purchased in January, 2022. I thought that was kinda funny/weird that she mentioned Victorian Motto fabric, I didn’t think I had any and yet, that was the fabric I had kitted with this chart to stitch with Pat.

I’ve got this one started – can’t remember how far I am, but don’t think it’s too far. I’ll have to pull this one back out. If I remember right I think I changed some of the colors but don’t remember for sure. It could be a total surprise when I open that project bag and see what colors I might have been stitching with. 🙂

Surprises are fun! 🙂 Get it out and stitch with us. Of course, that means you’ll finish before I get the border done! 🙂

I just pulled it out and I don’t have much done. It was my birthday start last July. I didn’t even pull all the colors yet. I apparently was anxious to start it – so need to gather the rest of the colors.I have just a bit of the sections of the border stitched and I think when I did 12 in 12 on NYE I did a piddling amount of stitching on it.

Yay! Glad you found it. You going to keep it out and get back to stitching it? There are so many I want to stitch on! Not enough hours in our days, right?
