We were so busy yesterday. There are so many days when, at the end of the day, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie is all I can think of. Yesterday we decided to move one of the recliners out of the downstairs family room and replace it with the one from the sewing room. The sewing room recliner is much smaller than the one that was in the family room so that left more space for Oscar to escape between the recliners and therefore, he’d be able to go into the sewing room and we don’t want that. As it is, Boots can go from our recliners over the little “fence” and back to the sewing room for his food, water and litter box. We do not want Oscar in the litter box! 🙂
Vince needed to go to Walmart so I asked him to see if he could find one of those little metal shelf units that I could put between our recliners and that would block Oscar’s escape route. Vince did find one and get it, came home and got it put together. Then I decided I needed some halfway decent looking baskets instead of the lime green and bright yellow plastic ones that I have in the sewing room and could use in the family room. I got on Amazon and found some baskets, ordered those. Then I needed little baskets that would hang on the metal shelves to hold scissors, hand cream, nail files, remotes, phone, etc. so I found some of those and ordered them.
I had taken the sheets off the bed yesterday morning, washed and dried those and got them back on the bed. We had leftovers for dinner so that was quick and easy.
Funny, it doesn’t seem like so much when I’m writing it but I was really busy all day.
I did get one of the four dachshunds stitched. The photo was taken way after dark and the colors aren’t very bright.
For those who voted on light vs. dark green, thank you. It was really close and light was the winner . . I think by one vote. Vince voted for dark and the comment that said “The baby lizard would vote for dark green!” That was what swayed me . . dark green it will be.
I ripped out the little bit of light green. We have a lot to get done today so I don’t know if there’s going to be much stitching time. I can hope!

Now that I see the first doxie stitched next to the border – I would vote for dark green too!
