Yesterday I spent several hours stitching on Three Things Sampler. The letters are fun . . the flowers at the top border were a bit difficult but I had dropped my highlighter and wasn’t able to mark off what I had stitched. How I miss Pattern Keeper. This chart is large and I wasn’t sure about trying to get it all set up in PK so I didn’t try.
On this particular frame, I had to pin the linen to leaders and you can see I didn’t pin very straight but it will all be fine once I finish stitching, take it off the frame and block it or, just let up off the tension a bit.
I’m really loving the colors in this sampler.
Vince came downstairs about 8 p.m. I knew there were a couple of movies he had been wanting to watch and they aren’t the kind of movies I like so I went upstairs to read my book and even though it was only a little after 8 p.m., I fell asleep within minutes. Guess I needed the sleep.
Today’s a new day and I should have lots of energy to get more done.

Looking good! I had a little set back with this chart. I didn’t take close note with the symbol for Q, Y and the outline of the second set of flowers along the upper borders. It looked like the slash symbol on my copy so I used the mustard color. I happened to look at the cover of the chart the other day and saw the color was off! Sure enough, it should have been the lighter rose, so I took all that out and redid it. Now I can see the difference in symbols and will look for it and will be referencing the cover picture more. I too wish I could use it in Pattern Keeper, especially when working on the things that are on the edge and going into the next page. I may have to try and enlarge it but I really hate the idea of reprinting it since it took so many pages already!

After working on something like this, I really appreciate PK. Sorry about your color issue but I know you’re happy you ripped it out and fixed it.
