Monday, when we got home, I played with Oscar for a while and then went to bed. I slept most of the day. Then Tuesday, I got up, thinking I was back to feeling normal but ran out of steam and then took about a 2 hour nap. Got up, fixed dinner, then went back to bed and slept for 3 hours. I did have a bit of a hard time getting to sleep Tuesday night but it was only because I had slept so much during the day.
Yesterday, I stayed awake the whole day. Yay!
Last night I finished Day 1 of the 12 days of Christmas. First finish of 2023.
There’s one little spot on Santa’s face, about 6 stitches, where I’m missing the floss color so, instead of putting him up on the “finished stitching” wall, I’m keeping him in the bag. I’ll get the needed color before I start stitching #2.
Another thing . . the chart shows a straight stitched border around each of these pieces. I’m thinking I’m going to leave those off because the straight lines make it so obvious if the pieces aren’t exactly straight when finished. I’m not sure how I’m going to finish these so, if when it’s time to finish them, I feel like I need the outline stitched border, I can do that pretty quickly.
Denise and I are stitching this series of 12 projects together and our goal is one piece done every two months. She’s already finished #2 and we’re not even halfway finished with January yet. I’m guessing she’ll have all 12 done before Christmas. She’s fast!
Today I’m going to get back on Three Things Sampler. That’s one I have a hard time putting down once I start stitching on it.

Santa looks good. Will be fun working on the series for you. Have a question for you, Judy. You use the mesh zippered storage bags for your projects. What size do you use? Enjoy reading your emails. Thank you

They look mesh but they’re really solid plastic. I use the A4 size – this one. They’re a little tight for some of the larger charts but these fit better than the larger sizes fit in my bins.
You have plenty of time to join in the 12 Days of Christmas with us. We’re going to do 1 every two months but of course, you could work at any speed you’d like.
