Last night I worked a bit on Three Things Sampler.
You can see that I started from the right with the Q, then the P, then the O and N are partially stitched, as well as the Y below the P. When I ran out of blue thread, I moved on to the N. When I ran out of the coral colored thread on the N, I stopped. I’ll keep moving across the alphabet and when I come to another blue or coral or pink letter, I’ll finish the ones I’ve started, then start the next one so I don’t have to throw away bits of thread or put them in the little needle booklet. It probably sounds crazy but that’s how it works best for me.
I love the colors in this.
The chart shows a straight row of cross stitching between the two rows of the alphabet and I left that off. Don’t want that there. I may put it below the bottom row of alphabet instead of the curvey line of stitching that’s there. When I finish the alphabet and finish the top border, I’ll chart the text and then decide how I’ll deal with the stitching between the alphabet and the text. It may need something more than a straight line of stitching since it’s separating the alphabet from the text.
Don’t have to make that decision now.

Those colors are so pretty I think I will get mine out to start. Your photo is so much better than the chart! I’ll probably just do the whole thing but make it a two (three) year project.

Looking good! I’m loving the colors too! I had intended to put it away but I keep working on it…lol I have almost half of the first page (C) done. I am doing the chart as is since I find it too much of a chore to figure out what to take out, replace, and rechart. I discovered I’m better at following patterns rather than creating my own. 🙂
