There’s no doubt no one cares about my “Discipline Report” but I’m posting these to help keep myself accountable.
First and foremost for me is that I ordered no cross stitching charts, no linen, no bags. I did purchase a few skeins of DMC at Hobby Lobby – only skeins that I needed. I took a picture of floss needed for one chart, and on a second chart, I checked off the floss I had and purchased the skeins I needed.
Where I’m really patting myself on the back is getting through the flosstubes I watch without buying any of the charts they showed. I did stop the videos 100 times, go look at the charts; some I even put in my cart but ended up deleting them all without ordering any.
On the “leaving the house” front, Vince went out every day except Monday and that’s because we had a man here doing some work at the house so Vince stayed home, multiple times almost every but this week, there were things he needed for a project. He’d go out and get a piece of pipe and the fittings; get home and decide he needed something else so really, it wasn’t like he was just wandering through the stores, though he did go to a couple of flea markets on the days he was out. I went with him on Tuesday to pick up an order curbside at Walmart and I went out on Wednesday. That’s the day he needed to go to Home Depot so he dropped me off at Hobby Lobby, he went to Home Depot, then we stopped at Michael’s.
We ate all meals at home. Several days were freezer meals (homemade) and food in jars that I had canned.
This year I want to can something every week until I run out of jars. My goal is to empty as many jars as I fill each week. This week I canned 19 quarts of red beans, sausage and ground beef. Next week I plan to can corn relish, which is a recipe I saw on the Canuary youtubes.
The last two nights I’ve been to bed before midnight. That’s a huge improvement over the times I’ve been going to bed. The weird thing is that I still wake up at the same time. I thought if I went to bed earlier, I might wake up earlier but maybe it takes longer for those habits to work themselves in and change the routine.
I’m trying to do better . .
