I’m not going to blame Denise for this because . . well, what good would it do? We both do this to each other all the time and I doubt we stop any time soon. And, I would never have stitched this if it weren’t for her just mentioning that she’s going to stitch the Twelve Days of Christmas. I said . . well, if you’re going to stitch it, I’m going to stitch it too so we decided to stitch one piece every two months.
I still have to stitch Santa but this may be my first finish for 2023. I’m stitching it on 32 count lugana so I can actually see to stitch without the magnifying lamp so I’ve kept it upstairs and worked on it while watching dinner cook or watching beans simmer before going into the jars.
There’s some outline stitching to be done but I think I’m going to stitch all 12 pieces, then go back and do all the outline stitching.
Because these are so small, I am stitching them in hand but since I’m stitching a few minutes here and a few minutes there, and not stitching for hours, it’s been ok so far.

Looking great! I finished my first one last night – 5 Golden Rings. And then started on 7 Swans a Swimming but may be putting that aside for a while to work on one of my other WIPS.

I could never save all the backstitching for the end. Super fast way for it to become a permanent WIP. I do my best to keep up with it.

Just my opinion, I wouldn’t save all the backstitching until the end. I’ve heard others say that too. Then it becomes overwhelming. Just get it done.
