I’ve been wanting dividers for the journals I’m using for cross stitching and cooking. Since they’re disk bound and not three ring binders, I couldn’t use normal dividers. The ones I was able to find were so expensive expect Office Depot has some that were about about $1 each, in packs of 5, but they don’t ship and Office Depot is on the busiest road and at an intersection with the other busiest road and I will about do anything to keep from going to that part of town.
I was telling Vince last night . . if I had the tabs, I could just put them on cardstock and make my own dividers. I kept looking and the only ones I was finding were bright, almost neon colors and those don’t go with my journals. After a while, Vince said “It can’t be THIS hard!” and he started looking. After a while I said . . See, I told you it was hard!
We looked at everything and finally he said “I’m betting we could find a punch and make our own tabs!” Yes! I would never have thought of that.
Yesterday we had slider hamburgers for dinner. We love those. I had made several packages where I handmade the patties and made them very thin, which is how we like them. I freeze them on a cookie sheet, then stack them with waxed paper between them and vacuum seal them. I was telling Vince, I wish I had a burger press. I could make hundreds of them and then take them out while they’re frozen and put them on the grill. He went to a flea market yesterday and called to tell me he found a Tupperware burger press. I remembered what that was and didn’t want that. While he was on Amazon, he found this little “Shape & Store” slider maker. It makes 10. I put them up in sets of 5 so that’s exactly what I wanted. I have a similar meatball maker and I love it.
I told Vince I’m going to make them, then use the waxed paper between them, vacuum seal them and keep going til I get enough burgers in the freezer for us to have them at least three months, then I’ll make more. The patties are supposed to be about 2 oz. and that’s what the patties are at the little burger place in Carthage we love.
I think I’m going to keep him . . he’s pretty useful to have around. 🙂

Did you find a paper punch for your disc tabs? I did a simple Amazon search and they have loads of them. Just an fyi.
