It’s cold but it’s so beautiful out.
At 11:30 a.m., it was 1.4 outside and 63.3 inside.
I love this view. The magnolia that I love just outside the window. The pine that Angie loves over to the left. She grew up in the NW part of the country and, of course, the snow.
I didn’t even know Vince had shoveled behind my car til I saw it on the security camera.
It didn’t take long til it got covered again.
We got an email that the trash pickup service had to pull their trucks off the roads before they finished the route so our trash didn’t get picked up. Heck, with the forecast we had, I wouldn’t have sent them out to start with.
The milk man is supposed to come on Friday mornings but he called about 1-1/2 hours ago and said he’d be here in 45 minutes and he hasn’t made it yet. There’s very, very little traffic out there so I’m betting he’s having a hard time making his route. I would have told him not to bother but I know what he says . . the cows produced so I need to get it delivered.
I just took Oscar out. It feels like -27 out there now and I hated for him to be out in it long. I brought him in before he’d done everything he wanted to do. I put down a puppy pad but, as I suspected, it took him about half a minute to shred that.
The snow is supposed to stop in about an hour so I’ll go out and try to clean off a spot where the snow won’t be so deep and maybe he’ll be content to do his business there instead of being buried halfway up to his eyeballs in snow while trying to find the perfect spot.

I just took Quincy out. We are having snow flurries and it is 19 degrees here right now. We are supposed to get up to 24 by 4pm but I doubt it! LOL The wind is blowing here about 15-20 mph so. I haven’t figured out the wind chill because I am cold enough knowing the temp is 19! LOL

Accuweather is saying now that it feels like -5 there. You be careful going out.

I saw that you could put a 2 or 3 ft. Piece of plywood down o grass and lift it for potty breaks. Do it before snow.

Vince put down a tarp with bricks around the edge but the wind was so strong, it blew the tarp up against the fence. Vince did go out and shovel a spot but right now, it feels like -33. We just went out and Oscar did #1 but he was hurting and wouldn’t stay out long enough for #2. I put down a puppy pad, which he immediately shredded so . . I’m not real sure what we’re going to do.

The place I work closed at noon. When I left, it was 44 out. I stopped for a couple things at the grocery store and went through a fast-food drive through. All that took 45 minutes and by then it had already dropped to 34 degrees. Now (at 7 p.m.) it’s 6. We have snow, but not an insane amount. The prediction was 1-3 inches.

We probably got about 3 or 4″ and the snow is done but tomorrow is going to be colder than today. Briefly we will get up to 11 but otherwise our temps are single digits with “real feel” in the -20’s and -30’s most of the day. By Wednesday, our high will be 61.

You all be careful out there … The snow and ice is terrible in the mountains of Colorado. We only have cold weather here on the Western slope (so far).

We just got a dusting but it’s now bitter cold here. I have COVID so I’m not going anywhere anyway! Stay warm and Merry Christmas!
