Colorado Cross Stitcher, and back when Sheri had The Loopy Ewe, would offer 12 Days of Christmas (or something similar) packages. It’s one of those things I usually tell myself I don’t need to order but always order. Sheri does such a great job of coming up with gift ideas that I’ve never been disappointed.
Some people (me) will open all 12 gifts immediately. Some will save them under their tree and open them with their other gifts. Others will open them as the 12 Days of Christmas packages. Few probably do what I did this year.
The package arrived in mid-November while I was in Branson visiting my uncle. I was totally exhausted when I got home (Nicole, Addie and I slept on a pull out sofa!). When I got home, Vince handed me the Colorado Cross Stitcher box. I knew what was in it and saw no sense in opening it in front of Vince so I brought it downstairs. That’s the last time I saw it . . about November 14. At first, I thought . . I wonder where I put that package.
This time of year, I don’t often go into the room where the freeze dryer is. The garden isn’t producing, not much is fresh in the stores that I would want to freeze dry and goodness knows, there aren’t many bargains in the grocery store that I would buy in bulk and freeze dry. But, I do go into that room at least once a week to retrieve canned food that’s on the menu for the week.
This morning I walked into the freeze dryer room to get freeze dried bell peppers and, big as Texas . . right in front of me was the Colorado Cross Stitcher box and I knew exactly what was in it. How did I miss it all these weeks?
As usual, there were amazing gifts and the presentation was so pretty and festive. Included (and not in the right order) were:
- Four charts designed by Sheri (which each counted as a separate day) – Noel which is a beautiful red house; Peace and Joy; Good Tidings and Merry.
- Floss to make all four of the above charts.
- A wooden Santa floss keeper with a ruler on the bottom.
- The cutest little wooden needle keeper. I’m going to glue a magnet onto the back of it so I can keep it on the metal tray next to my chair.
- A Chart for “In the Meadow We Can Build A .. ” and it has a snowman stitched and adorable meadow-ish buttons.
- A De-Tailor (which I never thought I needed til I used one).
- Christmas Counting Pins (along with a floss drop card.
- A wooden triangle with a Christmas tree on it which I’ll use for a floss tag when making any of Sheri’s charts.
- The cutest little teal colored Joji scissors. Addie loves teal so I will have to keep her away from those.
That makes 12 since there are 4 things listed in #1.
Also, on the outside of the package was a package of mini pins for pin pillows from Just Another Button Company. This will be so cute on one of the Christmas pinkeeps I’m hoping to get stitched this year.
Thanks Sheri and all the folks at Colorado Cross Stitcher for being such a great shop, and for having such super fast shipping.

Excellent idea to put a magnet on the back of the needle holder. I’m going to have to copy that.
