We’ve been out every day this week and have to go out today. It’s all been fairly necessary. Monday was the vet and to pick up the meat Chad wanted. Yesterday Vince talked to the guy who’s going to do the radon remediation and Vince needs to cut an opening so the guy can get to the area around the plumbing in the downstairs bath tub so Vince had to go back to Home Depot and get the door to fit the opening so he can measure the area to be cut out. We were supposed to pick up our meat Friday for Christmas dinner but with the forecast weather, we may not be going anywhere on Friday so we called and they’ll have it cut for us by the time we get there today. Chad thinks he’s coming to Joplin on Friday and I think they’re going to be doing good to get here on Sunday. We’ll see.
We got this from the closest little town:
In anticipation of the weather that has been forecasted the next few days, we are asking our citizens to remove vehicles from the sides of the roadway, to allow room for our plow trucks to get through. This will make it easier for them to maneuver down each road and get them cleared off as quickly as possible. Your cooperation would greatly be appreciated.

Tomorrow is trash pickup and I doubt that happens either . The county snow plow will come down the main streets where we live but they don’t come down our street because it’s a private road. 1-3″ isn’t a big deal but it will slow things down. A lot of folks are getting way more than that and they’d laugh at everything shutting down around here for 1 – 3″. I just hope we get enough to build a snowman.

We will. We have gloves, hats, boots . . all we’ll need for quick trips out with the dogs. Otherwise, we’ll be staying in and staying warm. Talked to my family in Lake Charles and it’s supposed to be down to 14 either tonight or tomorrow night.

Our weather in NE Wyoming, Gillette, is -22* and wind chill -55* this afternoon. And it was snowing! Hard to believe it would snow with it being that cold. Next week they are talking 50*. I hope the weatherman is right.

I hope those temps don’t last long for you and the weatherman is correct. This is miserable and it feels like -21 right now so I can’t even imagine what -55 would feel like.
