Oscar wakes up full of spunk. I try to walk him 20 minutes as soon as we get up. Then I feed him. He’s always full of spunk but some mornings, it’s worse than other mornings. This morning he was so wild and into everything.
After he eats, we always play fetch with the rubber bone and once we finish that, I can see if we need to do more activities. This morning we did so I got out the crazy ball. Usually after 10 minutes, Oscar is huffing and puffing and despite him not wanting me to take it, I get it and put it away. Even that wasn’t enough this morning. Vince came down and played with him for a while and he was starting to slow down so I got out the food puzzle. We have some mini bite dog food and I put two tiny little pieces of food in each thing. That’s a lot of work for a little bit of food but he doesn’t seem to mind. He doesn’t stop til he gets them all out.
I know it’s just a matter of time before he figures out he can dump it upside down and all the food will spill out.

Those kinds of toys are good for dogs. On a facebook site I follow, they have 4 big dogs, and the owner does “brain” games with her dogs too. One thing she does is to take a favorite toy and tape it down to the floor (with tape that is easily removed). The dog has to figure out how to free his toy, and he’s pretty fast at it. Of course, you might not want Oscar to get too smart…LOL
