Thursday I lost the chart for Live on Little. I had copied the chart, made it into a pdf (one page at a time so they’re all separate pdfs) because I wanted to import it into Pattern Keeper but because the chart is printed in portrait and that makes it not work right in Pattern Keeper, the orientation cannot be changed once it’s imported and if I change it prior to importing, then the grid doesn’t work, even if I change the grid numbers around . . so many problems I have, right? 🙂 Anyway, I always make a working copy but usually just one page as needed so I was glad I had copied the entire chart right off the bat. But, I hadn’t copied the front so I didn’t have a color picture or any picture – just the graphs so, to see it in color, I had to keep going back to the picture on the internet.
I had moved some things around to get the Lowery frame on the right side of my chair instead of the left side so there was no telling where that chart ended up. I searched through everything I had moved three times. I thought maybe for some crazy reason I had walked into the sewing room with it. I searched in there. I went through the four or five project bags I had out recently to see if I stuck it in there.
I kept thinking maybe it fell between the arm and the seat of the recliner. I stuck my hands down in there on both sides and in the back. Nope, couldn’t find it. This morning I told myself . . if I don’t find it, I’m ordering a new one but before I did that, I was going to really search in the recliner. I stuck my hands back in all the cracks. Couldn’t find it. Then I went behind the recliner to see if I could see it. Nope but . . wait! I could see just the corner of a plastic bag poking through near the bottom. I pulled the bag out and it wasn’t Live on Little but then two more charts fell out and one of them was Live on Little.
The other charts were Jenny Bean’s Friendship Sampler, which I love and want to stitch and This is the Day by Plum Street which I can’t wait to start. I’m not sure I would have remembered Jenny Bean’s Friendship Sampler but I would have been searching for This is the Day if I hadn’t found it.
Speaking of chairs, the yellow chair I ordered is on back order and the next date when it MIGHT be shipped is in April. Why does that not surprise me?

Glad you found it and with other treasures to boot! I keep looking at “This is the Day” but haven’t ordered it just yet. 🙂 So, are you saying that you are working on one page at a time in Pattern Keeper kind of like each page is a separate pdf project or were you eventually successful at bringing it in as one big project? And….your yellow chair….drives me crazy when something doesn’t show up as backordered until after you’ve ordered it!

I didn’t try to combine the pages into one project. I couldn’t get the orientation right and got tired of messing with it.
I guess back ordered everything is just something we’re all going to have to live with.

I wanted this is the day, but really wasn’t happy with over all design, went looking for other designs.. Did lots of research decided I wanted Aida 14 – already have (etsy.com/shop/WhispersofHope by Barb Maxwell). There are two designs included, I wanted elements of both designs, that meant increasing the size of opening. Have that all done, next my old eyes can’t read from a distance so, now I am changing fonts. Will draft that out in the next day or so and will add small butterfly too. (Good thing I have quilting as a background) Won’t look like the original but my interpretation. Of course that night I ordered 2 more kits besides the pattern. No more late nights with Judy. So far I can credit you with Instant Pot, Air Fryer, wanted freeze dryer but that meant adding another building with air -strong HOA, canning ground beef, canning potatoes, bin stores (now daughter, granddaughter, my friends son and daughter are now addicted to them), want the electric canner too – right now on hold. Help I need a Judy Intervention!!!

NO! You cannot have a Judy Intervention! 🙂 And, surely you’re not going to leave me up late at night all alone!
It could be worse I suppose. Vince might not agree.

speaking of back ordering – a friend’s refrig died. They can fix it – but the RUSH order for the parts is estimated 2 – 3 weeks! Wonder what the non rush order time frame would be? And that has not yet been fixed and her wall oven has died! I told her if she has a dishwasher she just better go ahead and replace that now too…..and the stove top!

We haven’t had a single appliance that showed up anywhere near when it was supposed to. The microwave that should be in in two weeks because it was in stock “somewhere” . . it’s been almost 6 weeks . . no microwave. I think we were told 5 months on our fridge and it took 11 months.
I hope they get their part soon and I hope they have a backup fridge and oven!
