Every time I say I don’t like chocolates, Vince says “you do!” There are some chocolates I like. I love chocolate covered cherries – one box at Christmas. My grandma loved those and they never had extra money but she would buy herself a box for the holidays. She probably hid them from me til there was only one left because I could seriously eat the entire box .. both layers! Every year I buy one box. Vince will say “Get two . . you probably won’t find them later in the year.” I don’t want to find them . . I only want one box.
I’ll eat an Almond Joy a couple of times a year. There was a gas stop I made on the trip from Texas to MO and back and I’d usually buy an Almond Joy there, eat half of it going and half of it on the way back.
Today I received a box in the mail and it was a gift from a friend and it was a box of Christopher Elbow chocolates. These are so good – they may have me saying chocolate is my favorite candy.
You would think they’re wrapped in pretty paper. No! That’s the candy itself. No paper, not shiny plastic wrap on top.
I opened them, saw how pretty they were, decided to wait til Vince was inside before I ate one. I wanted him to see them in all their glory – with no empty spaces in the box. Vince was out with the electrician and I knew he’d be in soon but then . . I saw that the dark green were rosemary – caramel infused with fresh rosemary . . all bets were off. I had to try one. Seriously . . that may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Vince said he would probably like the spiced cider and pumpkin spice better than the rosemary. Good! He can have all those and whatever else he wants if I can have all three of the rosemary pieces.
This place is in Kansas City . . which I probably did not need to know.
Their web site says it’s not too late to order for Christmas so if you need a beautiful and tasty gift for someone, I highly recommend these chocolates.

WOW those are the most stunning chocolates I have ever seen! Good thing they don’t ship to Canada!! When I first saw the picture I thought they were beautiful ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree.

They are so pretty and sparkly, they would make great ornaments and in this house, they aren’t going to melt! 🙂

So pretty – I don’t remember if it was the same chocolatier or not but I got a box of those pretty kind of chocolates last year with all kinds of really different flavors. They were just like little jewels in the box.

Might have been the same ones! They are so pretty and the flavors, especially the rosemary, are so nice.

The next time I’m in Kansas City, I might have to check it out…..since son and DIL live there, we head that way pretty often.

They are the best chocolates ever and too dangerously close to me. Just a few miles away.

Oh, I wasn’t even thinking about them sitting upstairs on the table and now . . I’m going to have to go get another one. I want to be your neighbor. 🙂
