We’ve used something similar before but when we replaced the HVAC system in the house in Texas, all this info was shown on the thermostat so we didn’t use the little portable devices. When we got here, Vince put one upstairs and we never set one up downstairs because in the beginning, we weren’t downstairs much. After dealing with the radon, Vince set up the air quality reading gizmo in the basement.
This one is on day 6 of the 7 day calibrating period. It does not tell us the amount of radon in the house. I’m definitely not saying you need one of these. Remember that Vince’s career was dealing with air and water quality and waste water. He loves this kind of stuff. I love being able to look at my phone and see what the temp is in the basement. If we’re not home, I can see what the temp is in the basement where the pets are and then I can make it warmer or cooler with the a/c app.
If we view this in the web dashboard, we can get more info.
There’s a good bit more info available on the web dashboard and Vince watches that but I only seem to pay attention to the temp.
It’s a toy for Vince but if you have someone who loves this kind of stuff, it’s a fun little gift.
