Yesterday I got so much stitching done. My goal is to stitch 500 stitches per day. That rarely happens. My average is probably about 250 stitches per day. One day last week I stitched 17 stitches. The Pattern Keeper app tracks the number of stitches. If the chart I’m using isn’t a pdf, I can’t use Pattern Keeper so I have no idea how much I stitch then. I do not count stitches. Well, I count them to try to place the right colors in the right places but I don’t count as far as seeing how many stitches I’ve made.
Look at that! I stitched 752 stitches yesterday and I’m 50% done now.
I’m so pleased with how this is turning out. I love all colors but the pinks/reds in this one are so pretty. If all goes well, I should be able to finish the center rose today. Then I’ll move back to the left and stitch the lower flower, then I’ll stitch the words beneath the center rose, then the two flowers on the right. I’d love to have this finished by the end of the month but that’s probably not going to happen — too much cooking, a dentist appointment and another appointment with the podiatrist next week. Healthcare is interfering with my stitching. 🙂

Wow, that rose is wonderful! I don’t have much of mine stitched…I do love stitching on it though. Are you doing a Jan 1 start? I heard there is a group that does a start on Jan 1 that, if you finish by the end of the month, you are supposed to have a good stitching year (or something like that). Do you do that?

I have always started something on January 1 but I don’t think I’ve finished anything yet but I was only stitching on January 1 in 2021 and 2022. Maybe I’ll start something small so I can finish it by the end of the month. Look at that . . see how easy it is to convince me to start another project? 🙂
