Come Into My Garden was one of the early stitching purchases I made.
I like it but it isn’t something that’s jumped out and said “stitch me”. When we were in Branson last week, Cecilia’s had a sample stitched, framed and sitting on the counter near the checkout. It was stitched using the called for floss on the called for linen which was Veldt by Picture This Plus. Try finding that fabric! I’m always happy to use whatever fabric I have so long as the floss shows up but the Veldt they had used for that sample just made the design so gorgeous. I kept looking at it and thinking how pretty it was. The Veldt they used seemed way more green with more copper mottling and the pinks in the stitching . . it was just gorgeous. Of course, they didn’t have the fabric and Picture This Plus fabric can be hard to find these days.
When I got back to the condo where we were staying, I searched the internet for Veldt, a friend was helping me search. We both came up with a few of the same places that showed it on stock. One of the places I know almost always has all the colors listed and almost never has it so I didn’t bother checking with them but I called one shop and they checked and they did have it so a piece of it is on its way to me.
Picture This Plus colors vary greatly from one dye lot to the next so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the piece I receive looks somewhat like the piece used by the stitcher for Cecilia’s.

That is too funny! The fabric I had the issue with it being cut so crooked was to replace the Veldt that came in the kit. Mine was drab brown without a lot of green. I’ve got 7 stitches in it so far.

I’m a little concerned about what mine will look like too because I’ve never seen a piece as pretty as what they had used for that sample. In fact, I have a good bit of PTP fabric and never had any interest in Veldt because I had never seen a piece I thought was pretty.
