It has been such a busy weekend and, without a doubt, I’ll be in bed earlier tonight than I have been in a very long time.
Nicole, Addie and I had fun in Branson. It was a quick trip . . we left there early this morning. I got home and tackled that pantry and it’s pretty much done for now. I got the plastic table out of the kitchen and mopped the floor. I opened a jar of home canned soup for dinner. It’s 5:30 p.m., it’s dark outside and I’m having to seriously fight off going to bed now
I had mentioned that while in Branson I was working on the floss tags for And A Forest Grew. The
There are 103 colors. I had hoped to make at least half of the floss drops.
I am very happy to say that I got them all done! Finished them Saturday night before we went to bed. My uncle went to bed early. My cousin was up watching a Hallmark movie. Addie actually fell asleep early. Nicole was cross stitching and I was making floss tags til way too late.
After I finished getting the kitchen put back together, I put all the floss in numeric order. It’s all DMC so it was fairly easy. I’m not planning to start this project any time soon but that was a big chore and I knew doing it while out of town like that was a good idea and . . it’s done and . . I’m happy it’s done!

Doing things like that while out of town quite often feels like it was done by magic! When you don’t have to do it at home, it really does feel like someone else did it for you, doesn’t it? Now you’re all ready to start whenever you want. 🙂

So does that mean you have cut an entire skein to a specific length? If so, can you pull one or two threads through that knot at the top easily? Rationale, time saver when at serious stitching? I know some quilters cut an entire quilt at one time. That is rare for me!

Wow! Good on you for getting all the floss ready! That chart is beautiful! I had to go to the link at 123 and had them notify me when they get the pattern in again. Not sure if I’ll get it but I’m thinking about it! lol I have a couple of boxes of DMC from way back when so that would be helpful to me. I had been converting the bobbins to floss drops as I’ve been using them but I’m not sure I would bother if I do the chart but never say never. Are you using 40 ct to stitch yours?
