Nicole, Addie and I are spending time with our southwest Louisiana family in Branson. I had to laugh at the Louisiana folks. We had snow predicted for last night. My cousin was so excited when she saw that the chances were 80% of getting snow so she stayed up after midnight waiting for the snow to arrive. No snow.
My uncle got up and said the cars in the parking lot had snow on them. It wasn’t a lot of snow but it is beautiful.
When I first moved to Kentucky, I couldn’t wait for the first snow. I had never seen much snow. Vince still talks about me opening the front door 100 times looking for snow and running upstairs to wake Chad as soon as I saw a couple of flakes. I don’t get quite that excited these days but I can’t wait for the first good snow.
Our activities today revolve around watching the LSU game. We had a late breakfast, we’ll have a few snacks during the game, then we’ll go out to get a late lunch/early dinner after the game.

Ah, the joys of living in the South!! Meanwhile, those of us in PA and other northern states pray that they snow holds off as long as possible!! LOL!! I personally hate the cold weather, so I never look forward to snow! I want snow two times a year: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and then it can go away for the rest of the year!!! Enjoy it in Louisiana while it lasts!! 🙂

Sounds like fun! I you can believe it, we are having temps in the low 50’s all next week and through Thanksgiving. The high is not supposed to be over 60 and the lows are going to be in the 30’s may have our first frost! We were supposed to have it last night but it didn’t get that low. Last I looked it was 35. As you know this is not normal for us! So we may have snow soon also!! LOL

The weather that pops up on my screen are here, Brownwood and Lake Charles. I think it was Thursday that it was 1 degree cooler in Brownwood than at our house in MO. Enjoy the cool weather!

It got to 25 in OKC, but no snow. The rain/sleet/snow chances are for Monday night, so I might wake up to some snow on Tuesday!

We had spitting snow all day here in NW Illinois. Nothing heavy and it was almost 5pm before it got cold enough not to melt when it hit ground. We had just enough to see white on the deck and the grandson managed to make the first snow angel of the year. I love snow and winter (unless it hangs on until mid March) and have stayed up many nights to see it start snowing. It can get nasty for driving but they do a wonderful job clearing it these days compared to when I learned to drive in it 50 years ago.
