Two of my readers have sent photos of their Election Day SAL progress and gave me permission to share them. If anyone else is stitching and wants to share photos here, please email me a picture . . as often as you’d like, and I’ll share them here.
Pat, who is the friend who agreed to stitch Only One Rose with me has done quite a bit more stitching than I have and it’s beautiful!
Pat pretty much started where I’ve started, which is kinda funny since I don’t think we discussed this. Pat is stitching the satin stitch border that I’m probably going to wimp out on. See the two points on the top right? She used two strands of floss on those two and one strand on the rest of the stitches. She asked me what I thought so I’m sure she would love to hear your thoughts – one strand or two? There’s no right or wrong – it’s just personal preference – whatever you think looks best.
The second is Barb and she’s stitching Marie Louise Piret 1911. It’s another Hands Across the Sea Chart.
I keep seeing this chart and I keep almost buying it. Watching Barb’s progress may cause me to buy and start this chart.
Thanks, Pat and Barb, for stitching along with me.

Definitely 2 strands…

Barb is going to have a fun stitch, too…such a sweet little chart! I ended up taking out the border and restarting it with two threads…I may have to backstitch around the outside, too, because I can’t seem to get it from looking jagged. I do love working on this though! Thanks for suggesting a SAL, Judy! I’m having a hard time putting this one down!

..I can’t commit to a sal right now but I love seeing the progress. I kind. of like to see the x’s in my cross stitch so I like the single thread.
