The trees around here are just beautiful. I wasn’t expecting them to be so pretty this year because of the drought but the maples are stunning.
This isn’t our tree but there are streets, especially in Carthage, that are lined with gorgeous orange, red, purple, yellow and lime-ish green leaves. This is a beautiful place to be in the Fall. I’m sure Maine and other places are more stunning but this is probably the best I’ll ever see and I’m happy to be living here.

I grew up in the Southern Tier of NY State, which was a big sugar maple area. The trees along the road in front of our house were tapped every year to make maple syrup. Here where I live now in SW PA, all around our house is pine and oak trees, mainly. While they’re pretty for a short time, I think the area I grew up in was much prettier in the fall than here. Each part of the country has their own beauty, especially this time of year. 🙂

I live in NW Illinois and this is the prettiest fall we have had in several years. The trees here even have layers of color; green underneath with orange, red, and gold patches. My favorite time of year.
